As some of you know I am an inveterate reader of the Atlantic Monthly. This month Guy Billout writes a brilliant article on the role of the Internet, specifically Google, in shaping the way we think. I'm all about thinking through these things.
Shane Hipps gets at some of this stuff through the same path (Marshall McLuhan). Still, we need a lot more thinking on this as we struggle with a church that is Biblically illiterate. The argument goes that not only is the church Biblically illiterate, it is increasingly becoming just plain old illiterate.

oops -- that was me above, but logged on as my 10 year old son!
Yeah. I'll try to be more regular again. Did you read the Google article. I was thinking of you actually when I was reading it since you guys published Hipps.
Very interesting...
I like your blog a lot and will be back! =) Thanks for sharing!

too funny, this morning i did a session for students on how they can come up with ideas to change the world. the question was asked: how can we come up with ideas, some kids said, brainstorming, going for walks around the city, thinking about ideas and then this kid thomas pipes out: "i'll just google 'good ideas'" if nothing comes up i'll search on youtube.
made me laugh again as i read your blog
